DAYO1
AUSTRALIA: THE EXPLORERS HAVE LANDED!
AUSTRALIA: THE EXPLORERS HAVE LANDED!

After months and months of anticipation the day is finally here! Our adventurers spent the last 24 hours up in the air heading first to Dubai and then to Sydney, where a sure-to-be-unforgettable trip with METAXA 12 Stars and Mike Horn can now begin!

Starting from Munich, Prague, Warsaw, Moscow, Vienna, London, they met for the first time in Sydney (unfortunately Marius Racheru from Romania couldn’t be with us.)

There are many things to do and an abundance of nature to explore, but for now, a small pause, as the explorers got a chance to meet each other and fight the jet lag together over a glass of METAXA 12 Stars. We know they can’t wait to see what’s in store and neither can we: so stay tuned!

OUT ON THE STREETS AND UP ON A BRIDGE!
OUT ON THE STREETS AND UP ON A BRIDGE!

After some much needed rest, it’s time to hit the streets!
The explorers’ first stop: an in-city exploration!

Then an unconventional hike: not up a mountain, but to the top of Sydney’s famous Harbour Bridge! Yes, you heard that right: our explorers strapped in their gear and made the climb to the summit of the bridge to enjoy a breathtaking view over the city.

Capping the day, a delicious dinner – always paired with the explorer’s drink of choice: METAXA 12 Stars.

INTO THE BLUE (MOUNTAINS)
INTO THE BLUE (MOUNTAINS)

Things got off on an exciting foot yesterday, but it’s time to get to the heart of our Australian exploration and out into nature! Our explorers got to enjoy the stunning views on display at the Blue Mountains National Park, starting at Featherdale Park and ending with a trek on the Scenic World Tour. Awe-inspiring landscapes, silent mountains and green as the eye can see… all sights to make an explorer’s heart sing! Οur ΜΕΤΑΧΑ fans from Germany, UK, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic and Slovakia walked through the lush greenery and had the chance to see the famous Three Sisters Rock formation and the even more famous kangaroos, koalas and wallabies roaming around at the park!

After their Blue Mountains exploration, it was finally time to meet the legendary explorer, Mike Horn: Mike welcomed them on his boat – a boat which has travelled to ends of the earth! – where they spent some time getting acquainted.

An additional surprise for our explorers was the presence of another special guest waiting for them on the boat: Constantinos Raptis, the METAXA Master! He shared stories of his craftmanship and of the creation of METAXA 12 Stars. Glasses of fine amber spirit went around and were raised to new friendships and explorations to come!

THE STARS FROM DOWN UNDER
THE STARS FROM DOWN UNDER

Enter the heart of the wild! Our explorers sailed away on Pangaea, the legendary boat that has carried Mike Horn to each of his adventures around the world. Sharing a glass of METAXA 12 Stars, the team had the chance to hear Mike Horn share tales of his journeys and get advice on explorations both in nature and in life.

Then, it was finally time to leap into the depths of nature. Under the sure guidance of the intrepid explorer, they trekked down Sydney’s splendiferous coastline, and walked along its jagged cliffs and rugged terrain.

When the light finally faded, they all ended up staying the night at an infinity-star lodging: on the beach, under the open air under a canopy of stars.

THERE AND BACK AGAIN
THERE AND BACK AGAIN

After spending the night at the beach, the trek continues as our explorers walked through the coast line and among the trees, through the fields and the steep cliffside pathways. Familiar as they were with the terrain by now, the explorers got a better appreciation of the one-of-a-kind landscapes of Australia, its nature and their surroundings, until they finally had to leave to the coast line and Mike Horn, who continued on his journey (as is the life of a restless explorer!)

Before they parted however, they said their goodbyes over a glass of METAXA 12 Stars – the perfect end to a perfect day!

A FAREWELL CRUISE
A FAREWELL CRUISE

As all good things do, this exploration must, too, come to an end. After days of intense trekking and exploration, we thought we’d finish this wonderful trip on a slightly more relaxing note. So, we decided to take our explorers on a cruise of Sydney Harbor. Our explorers got the chance to sit back and enjoy a delicious meal, along with a glass of METAXA 12 Stars with the iconic Sydney Opera House & the Harbor Bridge as their backdrop.

Then came to the time to say goodbye. These moments are always a little bittersweet, true, but the memories made here will surely remain with our explorers for years to come!
